Navy/Marine Corps 250
Over six weeks, Dunbar Airshows worked with the White House Production Office, US Navy and Marine Corps to commemorate their 250th anniversary by coordinating and filming more than 68 aircraft and 40 landing craft for a special nationally televised broadcast. The goal was to take the largest amphibious assault exercise possible and make it entertaining, while also keeping it as tactically accurate as possible.
Dunbar Airshows was honored by how deep the USN/USMC integrated our team into their planning and the trust they put in my team as we collaborated to put together what the Commanding General of 3rd MAW described as the largest show of force since Nimitz ordered the allied fleets into Tokyo Bay and 1,000 aircraft to fly over the USS Missouri for the signing of the unconditional surrender of the Japanese on 2 September 1945.
